| Later in the evening with the brakes completely failed (we were relying on the gears only) we stopped to have another go at fixing them. The attempt to isolate and seal off the rear brake line hadn't helped and neither had bleeding the system.
We attempted to bodge the rears to at least get the handbrake working again. While working on the car this chap came up to see what we were doing and to lend a hand. We were having a very basic, but entertaining conversation with him when he suddenly explained that things can't mix, jumped on his horse rushed off to his herd where he amazingly separated the goats from the sheep by whistling alone. He returned to us with all the sheep bunched up to the left and the goats to the right. |
